A folk art vintage hand sculptured lawyer doll by artisan Morina Ohio
Taken from the site listing it for sale:
Vintage American Folk Art Attorney Doll Handmade Sculpture by Artisan Morina Ohio: The lawyer, an American institution, is captured by this doll titled “The Attorney” which is a folk art statement – about traditional barristers AND the opportunistic ambulance chaser. The caption on the front states “SUE THE BASTARD!” on the base.
This is a signed piece with the tag / label reading “Characters by Morina” from Columbus, OH. A handmade folk art statue/doll that stands 15 inches high, has a clay head sculpted with intricately detailed face, powdered hair wig, hand made clothing / robes, and law book, briefcase, and legal papers. **The doll has two right hands – so there’ll be no left-handed deals of course. A very humorous image with sarcasm to spare, this is a one of a kind collectable not only for folk art and doll collectors, but for anyone in the legal profession as well!
Condition: This is a vintage piece, although no actual dating is available. It appears to be at least 20 years old and possibly older. It has some discoloring on the scarf at the neck and the robes are faded with some dust embedded, but all the clothes are in very good condition. The accessories are intact and the face and hair still have vivid colors and are very expressive.
